    Voyage for Veronica/Alpers AwarenessSaturday, July 28, 2012 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Last November, 2011, we lost our 16-month old daughter, Veronica, to Alpers Syndrome. Alpers is a recessive genetic illness that effects how the body produces energy. There is no cure. It leads to mental deterioration, liver and respiratory failure, blindness, and death. It is believed that 1 in 110 Americans are carriers, putting the birthrate at around 1 in 50,000.

We are holding a small, very casual walk-bicycle-tricycle-stroller fundraising event to promote and raise Alpers Awareness - and to honor what would have been Veronica's 2nd Birthday. We are also pleased to announce that joining us for the event will be the new curbside cuisine sensation, Go Purple Bus! Kids from zero to 100 will love them! Go Purple Bus!The suggested donation is $10/person or $25/family. It will include aid stations along the route, lunch afterwards, and miscellaeous swag. Every penny raised goes directly to helping Alpers kids and families.

A big thank you is due to all the volunteers and sponsors, specifically GoPurpleBus, LARABAR, Izze/Snikiddy, Earth Wind and Rider, and CocaCola/Powerade.

The Griffin and Logan Chill Benefit & Golf TournamentMonday, October 22, 2012 2:00 PM - 4:00 AM

Please help support Karlee and Jeff Chill as they go through a trial that no parent should have to face. But they are not doing it alone. Their friends and family are doing everything possible to surround them and lift them up with support and love. In this vein, they are putting together an event - a Golf Tournament and Evening Out on Monday, October 22nd, 2012. The event will include a silent and live auction, a wine pull, and raffle. They are raising money that will hopefully help with the expenses the Chills are facing.

Please help this wonderful family by attending or donating.

The 2nd Annual Veronica Classic for Alpers AwarenessSunday, August 11, 2013 3:30 PM - 7:00 PM

In November, 2011, we tragically lost our 16-month old daughter, Veronica to Alpers Syndrome. Alpers is a recessive genetic illness that effects how the body produces energy. There is no cure. It leads to mental deterioration, liver and respiratory failure, blindness, and death. It is believed that 1 in 110 Americans are carriers, putting the birthrate at around 1 in 50,000. Sadly, this number will increase as more diagnoses occur.

On Sunday, August 11th we are holding our 2nd Annual Veronica Classic for Alpers Awareness - a small, very casual walk-bicycle-tricycle-stroller fundraising event to promote and raise Alpers Awareness - and to honor what would have been Veronica's 3rd Birthday. It is an event for the very young, to give them a taste of what "grown-ups" do on the big, fancy supported rides! It includes aid stations along the route, lunch afterwards, miscellaneous swag, water balloons, face painting, and other activities. The suggested donation is $15/person or $35/family, but any amount - large or small - will be greatly appreciated. Every penny raised goes directly to helping Alpers kids and families.

A big thank you is due to all the volunteers and sponsors, specifically LARABAR, Snikiddy, Earth Wind and Rider outdoor apparel, Vecchio's Bicicletteria, Stormer Web Hosting, and IZZE Beverage Company.
